People and events have triggered my emotions which expressed themselves in poetic form, not in any regular formal tradition more as an expression of ideas or feelings. The pattern of the poems came from the sound of the words in my mind not from any formal poetic arrangement. Ged

Waves

Memories of a special moment

I follow your feet
Foot-flopping down through
The sand dunes following
Your footsteps,
Following,
Following, eye held.
The beach bows
Softly into the land’s back,
Long-fetched waves arching
In response.

I gaze at your footfall
Jellying the sand.
A presence of you, but
Not you.
Your love of the crashing surf
Carries you away from me

Not lost, just drifting
In your stillness,
Pondering your thoughts,
Breathing your dreams,
Sighing your hopes.

Together, love and love
We turn-
Turn in heaven’s stillness
Living life, in awareness of our reality.
The dead penguin,
Eyeless, looks into our souls,
Sees our eternity
As we tread back for breakfast.
Love and loved.
