What of Tomorrow

Is there a God? Sometimes natures speak through awe and wonder, telling of a great creator, but at other times life raises bleak questions - is there a God?

They have no God:
     So what of tomorrow?
If they have no tomorrow
Is their tomorrow today?

So is today the power of the now
Breathing tomorrow’s breath?
But what of tomorrow
And the why of today,
The beginning, the now and the will be?
Will it be?

What is the sense and the
Need and the love of living?
Is living loved and gone
Like the smoke on the breeze or
The cloud in the jet stream?

So what of the now and tomorrow,
Where will we be?
Is the laughter burnt like a candle?
The smile swept down the stream?
The love left abandoned
As the wind carries my scream:
‘What of tomorrow?’
 ‘What of tomorrow?’
